*slips out of the Tower later that night, careful to avoid professors as she looks for Anthony on his Prefect rounds* *finally catches sight of him and moves quietly down the hall towards him, calling out softly*
*doesn't meet her eyes, his own shadowed and rimmed with dark circles* *darkly but without its normal vehemence* Expect he said things much less flattering than that.
*frown deepens when he averts his gaze, her own sweeping around the corrider once before resting her hand gently on his shoulder* *murmurs quietly* He may have, but that's not the point. He knows you're my friend, Anthony, and he at least knew enough to tell me.
*lets her hand linger only a moment longer before she drops it away*
*watches him anxiously, eyes flashing with confusion when he answers* I don't...
*hesitates, then continues* Anthony, you can tell me, you know. I mean, I understand if you don't, but you just -- *brows knit suddenly* -- you've not been sleeping, have you?
*frowns* No. I don't- I mean, Mum makes me things sometimes but- I just need to hear from him.
*eyes snap open, not expecting the touch then he sighs and shakes his head* No. Connection to the studio's gone. And- And his aunt and uncle haven't heard anything either.
*reflexively pulls her hand back when his eyes open, flushing a bit* *toys absently with her wand as she thinks, brows knit*
Have you spoken to Flitwick? He's your Head of House, isn't he? I'm sure he could talk to Dumbledore, or... how long has he been mi -- how long has it been since he's last written?
*opens his eyes to see her wand then closes them again tiredly* I owled Professor Lupin yesterday. Told him what was happening. He- He knows about Oscar. And it's been more than a week.
*frowns at him, crossing her arms* You tell me what's wrong and then just expect me to head back?
*sighs, glancing down the corridor before continuing* I know there isn't much I can do. But at least tell me that you'll be alright. I didn't just come out here after curfew for nothing, Anthony, I...
Professor Lupin's a good idea. He's -- well, I'm sure he'll find out something. And if - *uncertainly* - and if it's been little over a week, maybe the Ministry would have taken notice, too...?
Yeah. I do. Because it's late. And m'not sure you can do anything.
*nods absently* You what? I'll be alright when I hear from Oscar.
*expression turns hopeful if still worried* He said he'd help anytime I needed it so I'm hoping he will be able to do something. At least ask around or check the Ministry. They won't take much notice of a students requests for enquiries, you know.
*finally catches sight of him and moves quietly down the hall towards him, calling out softly*
Anthony?
Reply
No. You're not to be out, Ginny. It's too late.

I know. I don't particularly care at the moment, just...
*stops in front of him, frowning a bit*
Fred told me he ran into you today. Said you were acting a bit -- well, not like yourself? I was worried.

What's happened?

*begrudgingly*
Alright.
*mouth shifts then he leans back against the wall*
Nothing. That's what.

No. I've not been sleeping. I did a bit but I just dream and wake up again and...
*closes his eyes*
It's Oscar... I've not heard from him yet.

Have you gone to Madam Pomfrey? She could help with that...
*eyes widen, hand automatically moving to touch his arm in what she hopes is a reassuring gesture*
*softly*
Oh, Anthony... You haven't heard anything? His family, or the studio?

D'you want to go somewhere to talk?

I'm on rounds and you need to go back to your common room. I'll... I'd best walk you back or you'll be caught and in detention.
