Dear Jeremy,
I was going to write to you before this but it's been really busy at Hogwarts and I haven't really had time to do anything other than schoolwork. Hogwarts is really different from our old school, the curica, cureric the lessons we do aren't the same.
Can you keep a secret? Here at Hogwarts we learn magic! Remember how I told you that I got that weird letter from an owl? The letter told me that I'm a wizard and I had a place at the wizarding school. Mother and Father didn't want to let me go but since I don't start Eton for another two years they said I could go for this year at least. I'm so glad I did! I don't have to do boring old Maths or English anymore! I have lessons in Transfigation Transfiguration, Potions, Charms, and we even had a flying lesson the other day!
It's so cool, the castle has moving staircases and portrits that talk and we even have ghosts! The ghost in my house (Hufflepuff) is called the Fat Friar and he tells us stories about nights and dragons and evil spells.
I've made a couple of friends here, Ernie is in Hufflepuff with me and Terry is in Ravenclaw but we have some of the same classes so I still see him alot.
I have to go to Herbology now but I'll write you another letter soon.
