Bonjour Juliette!
Comment vas-tu? Je suis tres bien. Je suis daysole desole longtemps ecrire ecris (Sorry. I'll stop before I butcher your language completely! But, look! At least I've learned a bit of French from you, over the years!) Anyway. I'm sorry it's been forever since I last wrote.
How are classes treating you? Have you started studying for your exams? Though I hated them at the time, I sure am glad my OWLs are over. Word of advice -- don't wait until the last moment! (Knowing you, you probably won't listen!)
School is okay here. I picked out all my subjects to continue on with. The only ones that I'm really looking forward to are Transfiguration (which I did just well enough to continue on with) and History of Magic. I know, I know -- I can practically hear you, "History of Magic?! But it's soooo dull!" In my defense, we've been looking at some interesting Wizengamot rulings and if I decide to go into law enforcement like Auntie, it may come in handy.
It's been sort-of strange being back, though. And not just because of the war. It seems like everybody is dating everybody else all of the sudden! Okay, so I'm exaggerating, and really, it's just my friends Hannah and Justin. (You remember them, right? From the slightly disastrous Yule Ball?) They got together at the end of last year and it's been a little different, changing our "group," I guess. I think Ernie might be upset about it (he's been acting oddly) and, to be honest, I'm a little jealous. Not jealous like I-wish-I-were-dating-one-of-them way, just a I-wish-I-were-dating-someone way. But I'm happy for them, too. They seem so... in love? Might be the best way to describe it. It's sweet anyway. Are you seeing anyone? How did things work out with that Robert fellow you were interested in? Am I the only person our age not dating someone?
Well, I should go (homework, yuck), but, before I do...
If I didn't say so at the time (because the whole thing was kind-of a blur) I wanted to thank you for coming to the funeral. Auntie always enjoyed hearing about what you were up to at Beauxbatons and she loved having us as company during the summer. Even three years later, she still jokes joked about that ill-fated camping trip we tried to take! Plus, it was nice to have another friend there, just for some extra support. So... merci beaucoup.
Au revoir, mon amie!
PS. In case you wondered about the owl... Athena's having babies! (Honestly, even my owl has better luck with relationships than I do!) Anyway, this guy I go to school with, Colin, offered to take some pictures for me, so when we do, I'll send you some!
PPS. Have you listened to the Celestina Warbeck album I sent you? (I have it playing right now.) What do you think of it? Good? Bad? I'm leaning towards good.
