A lovely weekend.

So... I've noticed people don't use the real names on here, is that a required thing for you people? I am just curious. I tend to use real names.. No need to fudge with it, first names don't exactly identify anyone unless they hang around very select groups of ours. But let me know. I am tired from this weekend.

Christina came in on Friday, her flight was delayed and I left plenty early, so I was glad I had a mediocre fantasy novel to enjoy while I waited. The trip home was a bit terrible, especially since I couldn't find any food/coffee spots on the non secure side of O'hare... (there are afew., just hidden.) So I was glad I finished my dinner from the night before for lunch before I left.. It was 10 pm before we even left the Airport. The trip was smooth.. and I finally got some coffee at Mcdonalds, not terrible.. but Watching them making it, you might prefer to do it at home. There was a good bit of "white stuff" they mixed in.. Probably sugar filled. When I finally did get home at 1 I had a hard time passing out.. the Mocha apparently did it's trick, I was up until 4...

Brunch the next morning obviously became lunch... a shame I had invited other people and they were expecting it earlier. (sorry) Art fair on the square was nice.. Couldn't find anything for less than 300 dollars. But window shopping wasn't bad. Ate at the old fashioned.. definitely a nice place. Everyone seemed to get a long and the weather was gorgeous for the whole weekend. Really the only downfall of the trip was how short it had to be so she could manage around her schedule.

Today we got up late and didn't leave until 12:40, if we did as we hoped and got out by 12:00 we might not have hit the 30 minute near stop somewhere around janesville due to an accident... and we'd probably miss Chicago traffic. Missed the first plane by probably 15 minutes, I got her to the terminal 15 minutes til take off, s0 it wasn't grand. As luck would have it,  another flight was leaving in an hour and a half. So I waited with her, getting some lunch at Mcdonalds again.. (I hate the place, but it is something...) Parking at O'hare is outrageous... 8 bucks for 3 hours. Oh well.. She got on the later flight despite being on stand-by and got to Kansas City just as I pulled into Madison.

Looks like I'll be bunking with Joe for a few weeks or so. Shouldn't be bad, he is a pretty decent room mate. Losing some privacy but still not in each others way... and he let me get the last slice of Blueberry pie, so who could hate a man like that?

I'll see you all later, munching on delicious pie and thinking about naps.. Love to you all.
