Ah he should be over the moon! Take this on as Your Project and you'll seem pro-active and all those lovely terms bosses love so much. Turn it into a positive! I want to come and visit all the books now :)
no. really. he won't be. i said there weren't that many and the library is now filled with the ruddy things. i'm trying to do damage limitation but claire and wendy agree i'm for the high jump
I'm sure if you spend a bit of time organising them and hold your hands up and say "I went a bit overboard, but here are the keepers and these are for recycling - the blokes can pick them up at xyz" he should take it fine! Do try and remember that most things can usually be resolved easily and people DO want to look on the bright side of things as long as you can say how you plan to tackle this.
I do suggest thinking about what you will say to him and coming up with An Plan for what to do with them, I think he'd appreciate that. Spend some time going through and keeping the essentials and see when you can get someone to get rid of the rest, if you accept that you should get rid of them. If you think they should be kept, submit that to Chris too, you have a right to voice your opinion too!
well there's a couple of gems in the dross that he should appreciate - a wonderful triple encyclopedia of music with three cds with it which costs seventy five quid. hopefully its presence will make him forgiving to the utter arse surrounding it
