Which movies have you seen?
what a nonsensical list, as all these will invariably be. but i have to say as nonsensical lists go it's not too bad - although "the matrix"? come on. "aliens"? oh please. and am i the only man who thinks "blade runner" horribly over rated? i don't hate "the shawshank redemption" THAT much but it is slight, whimsical sentimental guff and THAT IS ALL... in which world is it one of the top five films ever made though? ugh. i've not seen "requiem for a dream" yet but i know i will hate it. why? because "pi" is one of the ten least pleasant cinematic experiences of my life - horribly smug and self pleased and obscurist nonsense. i loathe it utterly
and as for people who still vote for "star wars" and those now voting for "lord of the rings" - oh come on. they're entertaining, and in the case of "lord of the rings" sometimes wonderful but among the greatest films ever made? oh please! i mean really. they're great at what they do but among the greatest cinematic masterpieces of all time? people who vote for "star wars" films really need to grow up and watch - well - other films. really. i have no sympathy for them
