As far as candid pictures that end up on the internet against one's will go, this is NOTHING! You should see some of the pictures of me floating around. Oh god. It's too horrible.
Lloyd is insane. Unless "studious" means "looking like you just pranked a coworker and picked up the nearest sheet of paper to look occupied and innocent" and I've had it totally wrong all these years.
you shouldn't say things like "you should see some of the pictures of me floating around" you really shouldn't! my curiosity is taking the better of me...
oh lloyd is insane, bless him. he says "your face sums up to the students what the library stands for". not sure if that is a good or bad thing. also turns out that means "you're the first one of the librarians too stupid to say 'no'..."
Oh, you'd have to do quite a bit of poking around to find awful pictures of me, since none of them are accesible through a Google search. It would take effort and it's completely not worth it. Let's just say that friends with digital cameras and websites are not good.
I think "your face sums up to the students what the library stands for" depends on how the students feel about the library. What a weird thing to say to someone, though.
well lloyd is a weird bloke if that helps... you'd understand if you met him. he came in the other day talking about an ealing comedy called "the man in the white suit" that i wrote a long film studies essay on back in the day and was rather bewildered when i rattled off a five minute psychological version of the film. and his response? "i'm pleasantly surprised - there's obviously more to you than i thought!"
Aw!

lloyd - the learning resources man - thinks i look studious but it's patently obvious i'm just having a big smirk

And I actually did go "aww" when I saw that.
