I suppose I should read some counterpoint books. I just finished two doozies on corporate corruption at the state, federal and international level. The books in question, both of which I recommend, are The Best Democracy Money Can Buy by Greg Palast and Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosher. This along with books on big government really should be waking this country up. We are getting to the point that our own willful ignorance of these situations is costing us as a country billions of dollars. More than that, it is costing the world trillions of dollars. Worse still is that the actions of these massive organizations, government and corporate alike, are seriously threatening our current liberties and the establishment of the liberties we used to have to people around the world.
We are doing it by letting companies like Citibank, Enron and others collude with the U.S. and European governments to suck the blood out of the citizens of countries around the world. Will we try and stop it? I doubt it. Well, maybe after we see who wins the current round of The Bachelor
