Obviously, your friends would love a wedding/civil ceremony/whatever. What we would like to see is irrelevant.

Quite.

Ollie, what about a 'We're quite happy as we are so this isn't a wedding' party? ;-)

Seconded. We'd all come if you wanted to have a civil partnership ceremony, but if you don't feel you need it we understand.

I think that's the option that most appeals to me... and yet I'm terrified!

Can you ride horses? Cause if you can, you could be riding the one that pulls my pumpkin carriage to the front of the church. :-P

My answer is somewhere between 1, 2 and 3.

Basically, whatever you want to do is what you should do. If you're happy with the way things are, then GREAT. But if you want to have a mad-ass super-wedding, I wouldn't complain. :)

Getting union civilised would be good for our chances to immigrate to Canada. But yeah, we do feel right now quite immature for such things such as "weddings". Even though we are in our 30s, Kevin and I still feel (and think) like we are 14!

I opted for the civil union, cause the idea of marriage is a little odd to me (or maybe i'm a little too odd for marriage ...) but why not going a step further? you and kevin are beautiful and adorable, and this is probably the best excuse for a party :)

I'd never say no to a party, but it's the thought of putting on the party, organising... and all the eyes on us... yikes!

I'm sure there is someone you know who'd love to be the party planner, so you're not too stressed out by the organization and can focus on the real important thing: you and Kevin :)
