goodbyes and stuff

my best friend in Korea, Lynn, has finally flown out of here. she left only one week before i will be leaving so i feel lucky that i had her around for so long, but i will still miss her. walking around Seomyeon last night, i realized how many memories i have here that were with her. things weren't always sunshine and rainbows between us but any conflicts that we did have were short-lived and resolved in a way that brought us closer together. i have been fortunate to have had such a good friend while i have been overseas.

like i said: 1 week left. there's so much to do. it seems manageable so far though. i just need to make sure i don't procrastinate on getting stuff done. i do that sometimes.

bought some new lenses for my glasses. the super-awesome space-age lens option was $100. i don't think i've ever paid so little for lenses. glasses are really cheap here. there were great lenses available for $60 and $80 too. plus you can sit down and have an accurate eye test done for free that takes all of 5 minutes, and then walk out with your new glasses 15 minutes after that. it makes you wonder what the hell we're paying for with eyecare in the states...
