camera panic
i left my camera backpack in a taxi last night and experienced about 3 hours of heart-racing panic as a result. then suddenly i got an email from my friend Lynn saying that my bag had been returned to a friend of mine that i don't see much anymore. as fate would have it, i left my cellphone in the bag as well and the driver was able to contact this friend of mine via the phone numbers stored in the phone. i am so ridiculously lucky. there was over $3K of camera gear in that bag. i can't believe i was so careless (usually i'm very careful) but after going through this real-life nightmare it certainly won't happen again.
