i love my iPod

my entire collection of music on my computer contains over 25,000 songs. this is much too much to hear Anything with any regularity (no matter how much i like it).

however, i have set up a playlist with songs that i designate as being the absolute best of the best in my collection. so far there's about 1500+ songs in that list. i then set my iPod to random play through this playlist and i consistantly get the most awesome musical surprises and combinations of sounds... this is what i got to listen to while going to and from work, and while going on a few errands today:

    01. Where I'm From - Digable Planets [Hip Hop/Rap]
    02. Ghost Train - Ellen Allien [Electronic/Dance/Electro]
    03. Bump - Spank Rock [Hip-Hop]
    04. Afrique - Art Blakey [Jazz]
    05. April Dawn - Teebee [Electronic/Dance/D&B]
    06. Riffraff - Casey Neill [Folk]
    07. The Crippled Hand - Daedelus [Electronic]
    08. Out Of This World - Shirley Scott [Jazz]
    09. Little Computer People (Heiko Laux Core Remix) - Little Computer People [Electronic/Dance/Electro]
    10. The Forest - Bernard Herrmann [Soundtrack]

    12. When The Meth Comes Marching In [Louis Armstrong vs. Wu Tang Clan] - dj BC [Mashup]
    13. Irish Blood, English Heart - Morrissey [Rock/Britpop]
    14. Response to a Bourgeois Nigger - Watts Prophets [Spoken Word]
    15. Beware - Ann Peebles [R&B/Soul]
    16. Gnossiennes No.4 - Erik Satie [Classical/Piano]
