Uncle Touchy's Naked Puzzle Basement

I'm getting a little sick of the race card.  I feel like we all should be by now - it's more overplayed than Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone" ever was.  In watching some of my favorite left wing mouthpieces (Bill Maher, Keith Olbermann), I've discovered that, apparently, I would absolutely love government-controlled healthcare and the out-of-control deficit if Obama was a white guy.

You know what I think is closer to the truth?  I think there's more people agreeing with him because he's black than disagreeing with him.  I bet Jon Stewart, Bill Maher, Janine Garafalo, et al, would be a lot quicker to question the rationale behind his vagueries and non-answers if he was white.  But no, he's the first black president so he's infallible.  Also, what was the statistic?  I believe it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 98.4% of black voters voted for Obama.  Can someone explain to me how that's not racist, but me disagreeing with his healthcare ideas is?

How is screaming racism at anyone with a different opinion any different from racism itself?  I had this conversation with a friend a few years back who hated southerners because "they are racist".  Blindly hating someone because they're different is the VERY DEFINITION OF RACISM.

It's like those folks who evangelize atheism and then denounce Christians for being evangelical.  Hey, you're doing THE SAME THING!!!!!!!!!  Just because you're pushing non-God doesn't make it any more socially acceptable.

So, point is:  grow up everyone.  People expressing discontent towards a black president's policy because THEY DON'T AGREE WITH THE POLICY does not make them racist.  Plus, I would think that someone arguing in favor of the president's policy would want to do precisely that, instead of marginalizing their position by screaming racism.  Just a thought.
