It's kind of funny. At the time that I really embraced those goth ideals (Sisyphean struggle despite ultimate doom), I had virtually no goth trappings whatsoever and even at the goth club I totally could not pull off the look. These days, I could put together a far more convinving goth for the club/DEMF/etc. ... but it feels fake since I've lost the sense of my life being epic. I fought really hard against that disillusionment, and I was just trying to describe this to Donald after we dropped you off and totally failing. And then we had a huge fight, like almost all the other times we have been in the car alone for a long drive while very tired.
