"I should like to thank you for inviting me to spend time here, with Eros and Blackout doing Odin knows what in this virus, I have been so very lonely. Apollo, too, was affected, and even then he's so distracted with Hyacinth that . . . " She pressed a hand to her mouth, chuckling. "But, enough about that."

"You are ashamed by me, Commodore? If that is the case, perhaps I made a mistake in coming here. Clearly you are," she gestured around her to the office, "very busy, after all. I do so hate to impose," she said, even though so many knew better. She didn't mind imposing at all, in fact, she preferred it. She was more important than anything else her companions would be doing, after all.

Returning her smile, he adjusted his arm under hers; a pretty pair they must make indeed, and a strange once. He nodded towards the door, catching her eye as they passed out of the office. 'And what sort of venue had you in mind?' It would be vastly inappropriate to take her to the Barrister's Arms or the Faithful Bride- pubs he frequented with Theo and Andrew- but then, she had just confessed herself not to care a whit about such things. The only other option was his house. More suitable, perhaps, but James made a point to spend as little time at home as he could manage. Well. He would leave it to the lady.
