October commit2paper layouts!

When i first opened up the October Commit 2 Paper kit, while i loved the colors, i was definitely overwhelmed. this was such a gorgeous kit, it seemed a shame to "waste" it on photos that didnt really fit the color schemes or feel "autumny."

i am thankful that i got to play with this kit while 2 girls from my Inspiration Squad were in town. it was wonderful that i was able to bounce some ideas off of them.

and while i dont think everything i did is my best work... i do not believe that they are my worst either.

for this layout i added to the kit: bling, some fall type brads, green thickers and some ruler grosgrain ribbon. i curled the flower petals around a thin pen to give them some lift off the page and they are only adhered with the brads in the center...

this one used everything from the kit except a maya road journaling sheer, a couple pieces of bling and the thickers. (i liked the thickers in the kit but i used them up elsewhere as you will see). these patterned papers just screamed to be cut out.

i dont like to do single photo layouts if the photo is 4x6. it always feels to be such a "waste" of empty space to me. but what if you only have one photo from an event and its SMALLER than 4x6? that was my problem with this layout. so to relax myself a bit, i cut a bunch of pumpkins out of the patterned paper, inked the edges, crumpled them up and then laid them out on the layout with some big air bubbles underneath them. this created an incredible amount of depth. i almost cant tell that there is so much "wasted/unused" space in this layout.

and a close up of the "bubbly pumpkins"

thanks for looking. as always, feedback and comments appreciated.
