some of you know this already but we felt a little lonely around the house without my dog Forrest. so last weekend, we went out and found a new furbaby. a little teaser of his layout is here:
i wasnt sure how i felt about this patterned paper though i knew for sure that it screamed to be cut out. i added some stickles and some pop dots. and of course some butterflies. i am really loving these right now. i am just about out.
the journaling on that one reads:
i hesitated to say anything. i didnt want to jinx it. but i was also worried about what people would think of me. we only put forrest down last week and that same day, i was looking on the internet. i loved forrest with all of my heart and i feel lost without him. i was afraid that getting a new animal so soon would be an insult to his memory. i didnt want to minimize the impact he has had on my life. we have the money, space, and time. we have a lot of love and there are so many animals that sleep in emotionally sterile shelters. i emailed a number of places about their available dogs but one photo really tugged my heartstrings. and he is available. we meet him saturday. journaling 8/14/08.
i dont really have much to say about these layouts because i just really did not like the product. These were all from little red scrapbook and i felt like this kit was quite lacking. i tend to find that when i work with kits, i like to use up the entire kit before i move on to other product because that ensures that new stuff gets used up so that i dont hoard all my supplies.
this was a layout of forrest as he was starting to deteriorate and sleeping all the time.
i like this layout but its really nothing special in my opinion.
this was not made with the LRS. i believe the edged patterned paper was imaginesce and the other embellishments were artsylicious by chatterbox. the letters were scenic route. they were with a glossy off white finish that i covered with blue marker, then wiped off with a cotton ball. then i covered the letters with glossy accents to give it a gloss finish.
and an up close shot of the artsylicious.
thanks for looking. as always, feedback and comments appreciated.
