UPDATES!
I've been in London for three days. Weird, it seems longers since I feel as though I know my way around the city already. The Tube is SO much easier to navigate than the NYC Subway. It's the best invention ever.
Everyone else from the program arrived today. This means big, loud groups were formed. Not fun since Chelsea, Lesley, Marissa, and I don't want to feel like typical American tourists.
Good news: we found a flat. It's only £77 per week. VERY CHEAP by London standards, and it's in Area 1, so it's close to everything. Only a few blocks away from Notting Hill and Portobello Road (Reference to Dire Straits' "Portobello Belle"). It's really quaint and has three bedrooms, two doubles and a triple, two bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and 24 hour security.
Bad news: One of the girls we're living with is being a real hose beast. Speaking of hoses, I want to slap her with one. Chelsea, Marissa, Lesley, and I decided we want a drama-free London so we aren't going to deal with her. HUZZAH!
Since we already have our flat situation figured out, we have a free day tomorrow. I think we're going to spend it doing touristy things, like going on a bus tour of London, maybe seeing the Tower of London, the bridges, and visiting Harrod's. I'll take pictures, but I won't be able to post them until Braden sends me my camera cable. ;-)
