Well it's Friday morning and the city is in the grips of the threat of a complete transit strike. I need not tell you what would happen to NYC if the trains, buses and ferries stop running. It gives me chills to think what would happen to this city. I've read too many books with shit like this happening and way to many movies set in dystopian futures.
It's also the last day of the Howard stern show on FM radio. I should have been at the rally outsde of Krock but Mike who I was gonna go with had to take a trip out to see Rachel. It's her birthday weekend and that takes priority over everything else. Sitting here listening to the broadcast I'm getting all emotional though, thinking how much this show's been apart of my life for as far back as I care to remember. Sitting here I remember skipping classes in school to hang out with my music teacher Eller to listen to the show and he would write me a note to get out of trouble.
Oh, Wednesday's concert! Right, Trivium rocked, Amon Amarth Rocked, Children Of Bodom sucked! Can you imagine that? They were drunk, fucking up the changes, timeing and Alexi played the worse I've ever heard him. The real story of the night though was Ralph. He didnt have a ticket and the show was sold out but I went to insane lengths to get him in. I eventually talked a female guard (charmer I am) into leaving her post and coming to let him in but when we went outside he was gone! With no reason! I went to insane, I was made to look like a jerk in front of the person I had leave her post to do something unethical, to let in someone who did not pay.
