[Cuba was out for another day of wishing he wasn't stuck in this American town, when he notices the large package by the mailbox. Opening it up he finds a familiar face....of a kind.

A. Outside the house. There is a crocodile outside the house. Cuba is grinning. That is never good.

B. Showing the crocodile the park. Hope you aren't in the water.

C. ( Read more... )

[Somewhere in the park Cuba will pass a particular northern nation with her hands on her hips, apparently telling off a tree. Oh wait no, there's a polar bear and a squirrel in the tree. They're apparently poorly behaving.

If Cuba doesn't stop to talk to her, she'll probably notice him as he goes by.]

[....walking by.

No wait. Marco stops to look up at the squirrel....now that looks edible. Cuba stops as well, looking at Canada.]

Having some trouble?

America's squirrels are the rudest I've ever met. [She huffs, blowing that one wayward curl out of her face, only to have it go right back where it was.] But, hola, Cuba, how are you?

It's America's, comes with the nation.

Pretty good. Just showing Marco the park. There's not much water here unfortunately.

[Marco meanwhile is looking at Canada. You look like that person Cuba spends a lot of time with. ...sigh...no biting.]

No, there isn't. It's depressing.

[Ignoring the bear and squirrel for the moment, she looks at Marco, then at Cuba.]

Is he going to bite me if I introduce myself?

Tell me about it. I'm dying for the ocean.

[What is landlocked...

Glances over at Marco.]

Marco? No, he shouldn't. He likes to snap at people sometimes, but he'll only bite someone if they're an idiot.

[Aka: someone Cuba doesn't like.]

Mmmhm. You get used to three and suddenly you don't have any. I don't know how some people do it.

[Bending down to pat the crocodile now.]

Always felt sorry for the landlocked people.

[Marco let's her. Because he knows the name Canada. Even if it's not the guy Cuba's always apologizing to. No snapping.]

And the deserts. Poor things.

[All the pats. If they weren't out at the park, the poor creature would probably be getting hugged right now, because Canada's sense of what is safe around animals and what is not is a little skewed.]

[Marco's fine. He's had Cuba clinging to him since he was little.]

Yeah. All that sand and no water to go with it.

I think I'd go crazy. I have a hard enough time living too far away from a coast.

[In the tree above them, the bear continues on where Canada left off telling the squirrel it's rude, then starts trying to climb down. Except she's not always completely graceful and Canada is busy with some weird not-Canadian creature, so she calls out Cuba's name for help.]

I know I would.

[And he'll just move over to help the bear. He's used to Mattie always having his around.]

Mmm... [Canada will turn around to Kumarie more or less hanging off of Cuba's head, because she's an inconsiderate bear. The dominion makes a face briefly, then steps away from Marco to take her bear back.]

Sorry about her. She didn't just drop on you, did she?

She gave me a bit of warning.

[Hello bear on head.]

That was sweet of her. She doesn't always.

[Even as Canada peels her away, Kumarie is sniffing at Cuba's head. No matter how often her owner says it, she has a hard time always buying that all of these countries are supposedly the same as they know home.]
