5th Tactic [Action + Phone]

[Caesar thought he'd have no trouble holding out against the second letter's effects. At least, he figured what he was seeing was due to the letter. They hadn't started until he had opened the blasted thing. Knowing that hasn't made it any better. A day of looking at all the other people around him and seeing them sprawled dead on the ground for a split second, before realizing that, no, they were just fine... it hasn't been fun.

By the morning of the 30th, it hasn't passed. No, it's gotten worse. Along with the violent visions come taunting thoughts, eating away at his confidence. If he can just hold out a few more days... yes, if he can, but what about the rest? He's already failed Miakis. There should have been something reinforcing the doors or maybe someone more alert on that gun Sealand had set up at the window or... He still needs to tell Lyon and that Prince of theirs. Why does he keep putting it off?

You just don't want them to know it's your fault, too. Everyone else here already does. This house is just a death trap and they're all here because of you...

All because of him. He can't let that happen, but surely this is all still a game. The town can't really...

Can it?]

[Caesar is moving restlessly about the house. Pacing, to be exact. He's been doing that all night, which isn't surprising to anyone used to him being such a night owl, but now it's getting on into the day and he hasn't bothered with settling down for a nap. He just keeps checking out windows, then making sure what they've rigged for security is still in place.

Followed by more pacing.

Then a complete repeat of what he had done before.

Somewhere in the mix he stops to check on and give the firearms Virginia had brought along long, thoughtful stares, but he never moves to pick one up. He just wanders off again.]

[After his struggle on deciding whether to or not to nick one of the guns from the Bunker house (he did, in the end; it's hidden under the back of his shirt, stuffed into his belt), Caesar has gone out into town. It took some time, but asking the drones as he went has gotten him to the house that Lucius is at. He stands across the street from it, hands in pockets, just watching it.

This would end it. No more flashes of a crushed army, a ruined Grassland, dead allies, friends. All he has to do is walk over there, see if this guy is home, and... and..]

[Things at his target's house hadn't panned out the way he had hoped. Caesar is now in a hurry to get back to the house on Bunker street, cutting through yards and over fences, stopping every once in awhile to get his bearings and keep an eye out for that blonde man with the strange accent. He might be able to get back there before anyone notices the missing gun. If anyone spots that, they'll be out looking for him. He doesn't need them dying like that, not for him, not for something so stupid.

No matter what you do, it'll be your fault. See? It's already happening. They're sure to have noticed. Now they'll be out in the open, not watching their own backs, all because you went and did something foolish!]

...shut up. They wouldn't.

[Only they would. He'd better pick up the pace.]
