Some messes are worth cleaning up, Leverage, Nate/Eliot - 1/2entropynchaosNovember 27 2009, 00:55:35 UTC
Before, before the whole mess with Sterling and Blackpoole, Eliot spent a lot of time covering for Nate. Who needs a leader who can’t function properly - with or without alcohol?
Now Nate’s off anything stronger than a good cup of coffee and he manages to look after himself just fine.
Before, back in LA, Eliot had got into the habit of doing a…well, sort of a patrol every evening they were in town, taking it upon himself to make sure none of the team were about to be arrested or in the middle of a barfight. He’d deny it, if asked, of course but being in this screwed up excuse for an almost-family had started to seem more and more natural to Eliot - even if it meant he was running herd on the rest of them most of the time.
He usually made the last stop at Nate’s before heading home.
Eliot’s lost count of the times he’s put a drunk and raving - or drunk and morose or drunk and horny, but always, always that common denominator - Nate to bed before crashing on Nate’s couch on the really bad nights.

He’s back the next night - and the one after that. Every night they’re home in Boston instead of holing up in motels and cheap-ass hotels on the job
