I have a question about fills, do they have to follow the theme of the day?

For your fills to count in the challenge, yes. It's like a theme on top of the original daily theme for the prompt.

But if you want to write fills without following the daily challenge theme, you're more than welcome to do so! Just include a little note to clarify that when you post links here.
