Hello, everyone. I’m evil_little_dog and today's theme is All Comfy-Cozy. All prompts should inspire warmth, like cuddling, comforting, blanket fic, curtain fics, well, you get the idea!

... I have been craving a fic where Bruce and the (ex)Winter Soldier meet up somewhere while both being on the run and then proceed to become friends/something more. Would an AU to that effect be okay?

(So, pre-Avengers AU. The Winter Soldier's slipped the leash for reasons I don't know yet. I'm also not all that familiar with the Hulk movies, so. Yeah. Hope this is at all in character for Bruce. References, of course, to violence/abuse/torture, and also child abuse

“You’re all healed up,” he says instead, ignoring that the guy still hasn’t given a name. “Now, you don’t have to come with me, but you should probably make yourself scarce. I don’t know if they were after you or me, but considering the condition I found you in, better to be safe than sorry.” He packs up his kit, offers the guy a granola bar (he doesn’t take it), checks in with the Other Guy (all clear), and then looks outside the shack

Bruce and the Other Guy notice that whoever is tracking them has picked up the pace: three attempts (including that first) in five months is - unusual. Even Ross doesn’t try that often. Greg (today) hasn’t explained if they’re after him or Bruce, just picks them off with a sniper rifle or tears his way through whatever the Other Guy has left him.

The Other Guy likes him. He likes the Other Guy. It’s… bizarre. The first time they met, according to Harry (that day), the Other Guy had shouted Behind me! and then ripped a STRIKE team apart. Bruce had asked enough questions to clarify that STRIKE means Special Tactical Reserve for International Key Emergencies, which is mildly terrifying, but he’s pretty sure they must be after him. What could Zach (today) have done to warrant that

This is adorable and terrifying in places. Bruce's patience and acceptance (of some things) are what define him and they're on full display here. Bruce (and Roger, SQUEE!) like to look after the broken things of the world, and I love seeing him connecting with James, trying out different names until he remembers, and accepting a name for the Hulk in return. Thank you so much!

And I do want to continue with how them being together changes things, because when SHIELD catches up? Someone (secretly Hydra or not) is bound to recognize the Winter Soldier, right?

I love this SO much. I love James knowing that the Other guy needs a name, Bruce caring for James, all of it - I really do hope it's continued, it's so great.
