They walk quietly along the garden path, not touching. Their silk garments rustle in the breeze. He's unhappy here, now that she's gone...now that all of his friends are gone...all of them assigned out in far away places and he feels awkward and out of place. Like he's still that backwater country boy that came here all those years ago.
"It's not so hard to imagine. There are ships that would benefit from having a registered Companion on board, you gain experience and build a client list." She stops them, smiling gently at him. "Best of all, you get out of here. Away from what is troubling you."
He bites his lip and considers it, actually, really considers it. This has been his home for so long a part of him can't imagine leaving it, but if he stays here, he knows he'll become bitter, resentful.
He wants to be more like her, more confident, free to see the worlds. "I wouldn't know where to start."
She smiles brightly then, slipping her arm through his. "And that, good sir, is why I'm here."
