Tuesday: Chess

Jul 31, 2012 16:10

Hello again. It's enochia, a first-time host. Today is Tuesday and the theme for this day is “chess”. Your characters can play the game, talk about it, compare a conflict to it. Or you can use chess-related metaphors, figures (is someone somebody’s pawn?), other phrases (gambit). Anything related to chess goes. (Yes, that includes the musical and songs from it.)

Give your prompts according to these rules:

- No more than three prompts in one fandom
- No more than five prompts in a row unless one of your prompts is filled. Then you can prompt again.
- No spoilers in prompts
- If your fill contains spoilers, please warn and leave plenty of space

Please keep the codemonkeys in mind and obey formatting rules:

Fandom, Character, Prompt
Fandom, Character/Character, Prompt
Fandom, Character + Character, Prompt

Examples:

Prince of Tennis, Inui + Yanagi, chess vs. shogi
any, any/any, “A good chessplayer having lost a game is sincerely convinced that his loss resulted from a mistake he made and looks for that mistake in the opening, but forgets that at each stage of the game there were similar mistakes and that none of his moves were perfect. He only notices the mistake to which he pays attention, because his opponent took advantage of it.” (War and Peace)
Harry Potter, Ron, he is sick and tired of explaining how conflict between Dumbledore and Voldemort does not correspond to a game of Wizarding chess on a grand scale.

If there is nothing that catches your fancy, take a look at the lonely prompts.
