Castiel leaves lines of ink down Dean's skin, leaves symbols of warding and protection in ink that won't smear (until Castiel lets it) on Dean's chest and stomach and arms, and watches Dean struggle to remain still. He knows the sensation tickles, and he knows Dean wants to move, wants to react to what he's feeling.

Castiel offers a kiss to Dean's neck, and a gentle bite, and then he is returning to his warding, dipping the brush in the inkwell once again, cleaning any errant lines with a thought.

There is only one concession Castiel's made to Dean's self-control, and that is a gag.

Too much noise and he won't be able to concentrate on this. And Dean needs to be warded, needs the protections of these symbols.

He can't carve these into Dean's bones, not when the wards by their nature need blood, and so he's let himself bleed into the ink, just enough to make it potent.

Dean's eyes are locked on Castiel's face, and tremors occasionally run through his body, and that is when Castiel lifts the brush to let Dean recover and calm down again.

Castiel touches the waistband of Dean's boxers and at Dean's nod he removes them with a thought. But he's done with warding, and moving these aren't for his benefit.

He lets the tip of the brush touch Dean's tip.

Through the gag he hears Dean whine, and Castiel pins his hips with a hand, and begins to paint patterns on Dean's cock, pausing to refill his brush with ink, not pausing to let Dean recover.

Castiel knows that Dean would be babbling if the gag were off.

When Dean closes his eyes and comes, shaking under Castiel's hand, Castiel takes care to clean him up but to leave the ink untouched.

Castiel runs a finger over Dean's cock and decides not to remove the ink there.

He speaks a word and the ink sets into the skin, permanent (unless he removes it, not that he will).

"I'm done," Castiel says, and covers Dean with a sheet before he removes the gag.
