Mankind had stopped believing in her centuries ago, relegating her to the stuff of legends and fairytales. It didn’t bother her the way it did the other so-called mythical creatures, as non-existing made it easier for her to hunt.

She would select someone young and strong and handsome, and she would visit him in his dreams.

It was simple to know what he desired, because it was always the same with men, just in a different package. She could be blonde and pale, or brunette with olive skin. Redheaded and freckled, young or old, the embodiment of his fantasy, or his dirty little secret.

For him her hair was black as midnight, and her eyes were the prettiest he had ever seen.

Do you want me?

She asked, coy but eager. Then she opened herself to him, and he did not say no.

When he woke, it was with a smile on his face at such a fortunate dream, wondering if he would see her again.

Of course he would. The next night, and the next.

Make love to me.She would beseech, and he would comply

I was puzzling over the prompt, because I couldn't figure out what it meant. LOL

I think I know now, but I zigged instead of zagged with it, and I'm really pleased with this piece.
