Well, I'm tigriswolf and I'll be hosting the final week of the year. Today's theme is dark. Now, you can interpet that however you like, from nighttime to something painful or violent or depression to something that's just a bit worse than canon (the latter two are what I had in mind, honestly).

Of Gods & Monsters
They see the visage of a monster, the white as snow flesh, the scars keeping him together, the strange color of his eyes, bright irises speaking of something wicked. Created from death and arrogance.
Caliban stands tall, defying the man who refused to show him kindness, to give a bit of love to his first born. Victor Frankenstein doesn't deserve compassion, not even his pity.
“No,” Victor says, voice as shaky as his hands.
“The least I deserve is to share this endless life with someone. An equal,” Caliban counters.
“How could a demon like you be deserving of anything?”
He laughs with derision, a sound which makes Victor’s skin crawl. “I am what I am because of you. You were the first to show me abandonment and fear.”
Victor pushes himself off the wall keeping him upright, his steps faltering. He can’t walk all the way towards Caliban. For a long time he dismissed his existence, seeing him now is a nightmare. “I couldn’t fight what you provoke in me.”
“And yet you wanted me. Played at being God.”
“It was never my intention-”
“But you did it, brought me into this world to learn the hard way the truth about humanity’s heart.”
Something flashes in Victor’s eyes. An acknowledgment.
“I wanted to create life,” Victor explains like that solves everything. Like it will erase the pain inflicted upon Caliban.
“And you did, but never saw it through. You left me, I needed you. I ached for warmth. The true monster in here is you, you turned me into what I am today, you gave me up to the cold. I’ve only come to reclaim the life I should’ve had.”
Victor hangs his head, words barely audible, “I will do it. I’ll give this life to you.”
Caliban laughs.
