Suitcase

"You know, I ran away once," the man says, sitting next to her on her suitcase. "And my friends. Some of them ran away with me."

"What happened?" she asks.

"They went home again," he says, and he's sad.

"Oh," she says. "And you. Are you going home too?"

But he doesn't answer.

This is excellent. It really catches the essence of Doctor Who without being specific.

It's a good thing I read the other comments or else I definitely would have repeated "aww, so sad" and "catches the essence", so, instead, I'll tell you that even though it was short, it was still lovely to read.
