The rules, as usual, follow (I totally jacked these from another poster, so if they're wrong, or incomplete... well it's still my fault. But give me ( Read more... )

This. Is. Brilliant.

So true, too, about how easy, and arbitrary, it can be for that which pleased you one day to turn bitter the next when nothing changed except your own perception.

Oh that was awesome. Sharp and interesting thoughts about Methos as a horsemen. I like especially the sudden and complete reversal of the kindred he feels to Kronos. There is no longer a kindred tie.

The best horseman fic I read did really great job of portraying past Methos as having the same kind of chemistry with Kronos that modern day Methos has with Duncan, and it's clear the the two could not be switched. That Methos of the past meeting Duncan would hardly have noticed him, while modern Methos would not have been so taken with Kronos. This feels very similar -- Methos has moved on and Kronos will forever be trying to figure out why it isn't just the way it was before. Look at this palace! Methos!

Fantastic metaphors. Methos' perspective shift really came through and you made it feel intuitive as though I was perceiving the same. Also: great title.

Lol, I even barely know the premise of this series, but your comment about how Kronos would always wonder why it wasn't the same as before just instantly reminded me of John Hart from Torchwood.

Thanks! In my head, Methos still feels an echo of the kindred tie to Kronos and his last kindness to this man who was his brother is to not break the illusion for him. Lets him continue to live in his so-called-palace.

Can you send me a link to that horseman fic? It sounds really good and I would love to read it.
