He doesn't even know how the hell they knew he was alive.

The alumni committee at Stanford sent Bryce a letter about the fifth year reunion. He hid it under a few magazines that Chuck would never touch whenever he came over for video game night. Being temporary handler while Sarah was off on a mission was the only time they ever spent together. The 'Intersect' couldn't be around the Intersect.

A particular move sent Chuck jumping up and down when he finally managed to destroy Bryce and knocked into the magazines, spilling them and the letter on the floor. “I got that,” he insisted, sweeping up the magazines and placing them back but keeping the letter. “Stanford?”

Bryce shot up, but he wasn't fast enough to rip the paper out of his hand. “Chuck, give me that,” he grumbled, cursing his shorter statue against the man that matched Casey in height.

“Five year reunion. Cool,” he read, “How come you didn't even open this?”

“Thank you, Chuck, for telling me you just committed a federal offense,” Bryce said, “And Stanford shouldn't even realize that I'm alive. I'm still technically dead from Casey shooting me.”

“Maybe it was Mark; I always thought he had inside connections,” he joked. “Come on, it could be fun. You can see how Maria Vent is doing, rag on Steve Nail, find Danni and Jesse again.”

“And tell them what? I'm just a simple accountant,” he recited, “No girlfriend, no boyfriend, no family. Steve probably has a girlfriend, even a fiance. I haven't even dated in the last five, six years.” Retrieving the letter, he sat down and glanced over it curiously.

“You could always lie. Or try the whole bizarre truth that no one can believe so they just think you're covering for something else,” Chuck suggested, “Admit, the whole dying and being brought back by rogue agents would sell as some part of a Clancy novel.” Bryce nodded and he continued, “Or we could go for the whole shock factor.”

“We? Wha...” He didn't even register that Chuck had moved over during his talking and found himself on the receiving end of a kiss. He automatically reciprocates because it's been too long Oh God is Sarah really the last person that I have been with? and he's a little breathless when he stops.

Chuck grinned, “Just practicing. How do you think everyone would react if you came back with the guy you kicked out?”

It took about nothing to figure out what Chuck was suggesting. “Chuck," he growled.

This is so great :D The idea of Chuck going to Bryce's Stanford reunion as his date is perfect! I would so love to see it happen :) Thanks so much for filling my prompt!
