"What the hell!" Jacob looked down at cuff encircling his wrist and followed the link to the other cuff. He looked away in disgust when his suspicions were confirmed. The other cuff had locked its claim on the bloodsucker.
"Bella, you have got to be kidding me?"
She stood there, hands on her hips with a furious expression on her face. "I don't kid Jacob Black. I am tired of you two glaring at each other and don't think I haven't heard those angry whispers between the two of you. Every time he walks in to the room you can barely keep yourself from shifting. Well I'm telling you now no more. Today you and Edward are going to spend the day together and you are not to try breaking out of those handcuffs because they belong to Charlie. I would love to witness you explaining to my father why you broke his handcuffs and why exactly you were handcuffed to a man that you apparently despise.
"He's not a man," Jacob muttered.
Bella's eye twitched. "So help me Jaco..."
Edward raised his hand. "Bella there's no need for this, the wolf and I are never going to get along."
"It is definitely necessary, trust me it is. Both of you are going to give me an aneurysm with the amount of pent up tension that you to have. Find away to get rid of it or don't come back."
Jacob blanched. "Where exactly are we supposed to go, Bells?"
She shook her head. "I don't know and frankly I don't give a crow's nest. Now go," Bella stretched out her index finger towards the woods. "Skip stones by the riverside, hold hands and sing cumbaya for all I care just do something together and away from here.
Bella turned to the house mumbling and grumbling under her breath has she went. "Stupid vampire and werewolf with their stupid tension. You would think it was sexual with the way they bristle around one another and are constantly in each others face.
Edward waited until Bella entered to the house and closed the door before turning to Jacob. "You don't think she knows do you?"
Jacob scoffed and rolled his eyes. "It's Bella."
Edward nodded and looked down at their cuffed hands. When his eyes raised to meet Jacob's they had a mischievous glint to them. "Well might as well make the best of our punishment then."
"Might as well."
And they both made their way into the woods.

Oh Bella, you're so... "helpful". *eyeroll* But the end's brilliant. They might as well deadpan "Oh no, whatever shall we do." Hehehe.
