I dig this 'verse even though I've never seen Prodigal Son, and I like how you've captured some Buffy-style banter, and also Malcolm's perspective and his desire to help his friends because of his inner conflict.

YAY! I'm never going to not want a return to this verse and this was just wonderful. Thank you so very much. I loved every part of it. Poor Malcolm, not wanting to be the princess always in need of rescue (though what he might manifest as his demon side could be interesting and terrifying). He's lucky Dani doesn't kick his butt for always being in these predicaments
