I SAW RENT TODAY. :]
IT WAS GREAT.
Ohman. Joanne was actually played by Tracie Thoms[sp?] on broadway. [That would be the Joanne from the movie]
I was so glad. 'Cause that last one was annooyyinnggg.
Everyone they pick for Roger is amazing. I love them all, Adam, Heinz, and Mark. They ALL are amazing Roger's. [And all the Maureens are good too]
The guy who played Mark was annoying at first. His timing was a little weird.
lol. They actually had an intermission. lol.
It was like ten minutes.
But when the intermission was over, it started the video again-- and then like a minute into the song the whole thing just cuts off!
The screen was GRAY and it was quiet. UGH, and then the fucking JONAS Brothers started playing. ['Cause apparently that's the first song that comes on after the movie's over and the commercials start up again]
Everyone in the theater was like wtf? [lol. All ten of us in the theater. XD]
And for the longest time nothing was happening. Everyone's all looking up at the projection booth, and everyone's talking.
lol, at one point I was like "They had a longer intermission than WE did!" and a couple people laughed.
So it takes forever for them to get the video back on. And then when they do--the Jonas Brother's are still playing.
So I'm watching the Rent cast during the padlocked door New Years Eve scene, and listening to Love Bug by the Jonas Brothers....
It was so wrong. ]:
Eventually, about half the theater went out to bitch, and they managed to fix the sound. But then everyone's like "REWIND IT. D:"
lol. And everyone was talking as they rewound it too. lol. It got to the intermission part again and everyone's like "OKAY. OKAY STOP. HEY WAIT. D: DON'T MAKE US DO THE INTERMISSION AGAIN. OH...OKAY GOOD. STOP THERE."
lol
But my godmother and I have two free passes to see another movie. So it's golden. :]
Got a bunch of beads and shit. Wooo.
And a new hat, holycrap look at this beast! :]
