New kicks

I have a new vision with regard to sneakers, entitled: Ugly Shoe. This vision is achieved by wearing shoes that are either LOUD or full of incongruous colors, or both. I think the effect is somewhat fetching.

The initial effort in Ugly Shoe, which I've had for a few months, was a success ( Read more... )

number 1 those pumas are not ugly.

number 2 these adidas are kind of ugly

number three i agree with you on the ugly shoe, but you have to be able to pull it off.

i was in nyc last weekend and with the encouragement of our friend mr. sullivan i bought some green sebago docksides

i plan on rockin them with skinny jeans and a yet to be determined top prolly some solid color t. it is almost tempting to get some suspenders too. hair will be clean cut, accessories could be a long necklace with some nice pendant, leathe rwirst cuffs or a nice fossil watch...not to mention a saints medal on a tighter necklace.

i also have the added bonus of ferever accessories of tattoos and giant fuckin plugs in my ears...

i think it is all about ugly fashion in general when it comes the terrible fashion choices of most hipster kids, think SF and Williamsburgh...

when it comes to the work front i will be upgrading to some nice button ups, a clean cut hair cut, causal black shoes and styly low rise jeans from slim cut to straight legged.

1. Well, maybe. The stripe in the photo looks yellow, but in life it is spring green, bright but not neon.

2. Yeah they are. But they are so bright people can't even reach that conclusion half the time. Consider the case of Dazzle Camouflage.

I think I can pull off the blue/orange adidas, but fuck, those green docksiders take a whole different level of unfuckwithability. Much respect.

Not sure what kind of button ups you're looking for, but I will say that I found a pleasant surprise on the dress-shirt front at H & M's "fancy" store, which offers cheap business attire rather than ill-advised teen fashion.* Slim cut shirts, size medium, fit me perfect off the rack, around the neck, at the shoulder, to the wrist. $35. Recommended if you're looking to look business-y.

* No slight on the teens and their fashion, which is often impeccable, if not the strongest force of progress around. But the normal H & M kinda sucks.

i hit the fancy handm last weekend with sullivan...i hooked up two shirts..the problem is mediums seem to go super quick...the second problem is that my shoulders and back are getting a little big for the mediums (like i cant cross my arms really)...but they fit perfect otherwise...

good suggestion and exactly the style i am going for..

the green docksides, really, the secret is they actually look fucking good once you get them on...

Right, I forgot you are on project: Get Buff. Here I was thinking we wear the same size shirt. Oh well. Maybe you should step up to large? Arm-crossing is important! But then they wouldn't fit as perfect elsewhere?

yeah i think if i went up to a large (i didnt even try one on) it would just be a baggy mess, which in my opinion is a nono for button up shirts... i mean the shirt looks good, its just a little tight...

and on getting buff...not so much into getting big anymore...just getting strong...i was sick for a few weeks, lost apetite and lost 8 pounds, which is why i think my new skinny jeans actually look ok...so maybe the shirt will fit right soon...
