Boston, pt 2

Boston, take 2, was pretty good. Train was seriously delayed going out there, but all I missed was cold and rainy-ness. Business class was a nice switch from the regular coach class. The differences that I could tell were a better cafe car, an arm rest between you and the person next to you, better seats, and a "quiet car" where there were no screaming babies or loud people.

Megan and I went to Cheers, and sure enough everyone knew our name. We also saw "the break up" which was sort of painful at times, as most people have had fights like that at one point or another. We stayed up very late through the night to watch Sex & the City and eat sweet rolls.

The train ride back was ok, coach class again with screaming babies and not as comfortable seats. But my iPod kept me great company and the battery has so far lasted 8 hours and still going. This week is a couple of lab social events, a bunch of tests, and analyzing my master's thesis data. I've already found results, now I'm just looking for what they mean. I'm also running a follow-up study to confirm that my results extend. This is going to be a pretty sweet paper when I get it all written up!

I've learned a lot here at Yale. Early on I was worried that I might not be able to learn much, but I really have. I've really mastered SPSS and E-PRIME scripting, developed a number of applications, learned a few more computer languages. I've mastered some new areas of statistics and taught myself linear algebra. Read so many books I almost lose count. Increased my reading speed to nearly 500 words per minute. And really expanded my cooking skills, that and started to eat more organically.

All around good times.
