love, love, love ...

Today, I am reminded why I do my work, why I try to be loving, regardless of what others do or dont do. This morning, I was having a rough time of it, trying to figure out just how to engage with some in my life (who is making it increasingly difficult to behave in loving manner towards) in the most loving way I could find. I found myself ( Read more... )

The hardest lesson I've had to learn as an adult is that I can't let others love me, let that love in, unless I love myself. I'm still trying to show my inner child that truth.

What if the world was different, what if the person we rejoice over in their death had been paid attention to in the way that was needed when they were young. A country, a nation, a culture, a religion, a family, a school, a neighborhood. What if we took all those people in these places and gave them what they needed at a early age. Before the hatred, the blame, the differences in beliefs set in stone. What would this world look like? Sure we would still have war, hunger, poverty, people who murder, steal, etc... but I bet the world would be a much better place for all.

As for the personal interactions in your life. You do love, you will love and people love you so much. Action verbs.

I often think about what the world would be like if we all got what we needed as children ... if somehow, instead of getting the message that we are worthless and a burden, we ALL got the message that we are divine beings put here to love one another ... I don't think there would be war or murder or steal or any of that ... I know, it may sound crazy, but I believe its true ... I believe we can create heaven on Earth if we choose to ...

And I know I can't create that world by myself, but I can create in my world ... in my heart and I can offer those things--unconditional love, acceptance, understanding--to those whom I come into contact with ... and I like to think that I do so most of the time.

Thank You for being a part of my journey ... You bring such joy and love into my life, my dear, sweet, wonderful You ...
