Eurghhh

So, I figured I better actually start posting to this haha...

Well today has been a bit of a shock =/ basically the only person I've ever considered a grandparent died today at 4am.
It wasn't that surprising...she'd recently had open heart surgery, but at the same time I'm just shocked by the fact that she isn't here anymore.
I swear there's some kind of curse on this time of year! Last year a family friend died in January. Around 3 years ago my step grandmother [never really considered her that though] died as well in January.
And lets not forget Heath Ledger...
Well, his death has hardly got anything to do with what I'm saying because [unfortunately] I didn't know him...the weird thing is, is that I'm not that sad about it. I mean, once I got over the initial shock, I went back to what I was doing and was just like...okay? What now. She's dead but yeah...not much I can do about it.
And to be completely honest, I've always been this way with grief, surprisingly unemotional. But in a way, I never have lost anyone who's been really close to me. I've lost people sure, but never anyone like a sister or close friend. [God forbid I ever do]
But my friends that I've told have been all "oh my gosh! you must be so sad" sort of thing. But I have to say, not really.
I'm not Christian or anything, but I'd like to think she's in a better place and at the very least with Poppa.
After all, to the well organised mind, death is simply another adventure.
Or whatever Dumbledore said.

Speaking of which, I'm going to try and achieve my life long...or at least a few years goal of finding out how many days it takes me to read the entire Harry Potter series.
I'm putting it off mainly because I don't actually want to have to reread the entire series. I've done it like...countless times but never like this. My hypothesis of how long is around 4-5 days. I figure I can knock the first two, maybe even the third in one day, but the other ones will slow me down. Especially the sixth. I really don't want to have to reread Harry's whinings in that one.
Maybe I'll try and beat my 6 days it took me to read the LOTR trilogy. I mean, I was like 11 when I read them so it shouldn't be hard to beat. Or I'll go the other way and take forever.

I also finally realised why whenever I went onto the Apocalptica myspace page there was no sound.
*coughs* yeah...the volumne on the player was turned off. Hell yes I'm cool!
