A better week??
Okay, so a different one at least.
The good news: The rotator cuff is healing, and I will probably be done with physical therapy in another week or two.
The better news: The husband can now get himself into the shower, bathe and get back out and dried off himself! I was elated yesterday when he decided to be brave and try it. I was beyond elated today when he repeated it!
Each thing is one step closer to independence, for both of us!!!
My little brother and I hung out this weekend. As of Friday at 3 pm, he was officially unemployed. He does at least get paid for the next two months, because his contract goes from August to August of each year. Then starting in September he will (hopefully) get unemployment insurance while he goes to school for his master's degree. (Which I've gotten over my issues with.) Best of all, he decided if I can write, so can he! He's going to write a cook book and a video series to go with it for schools to use, rather than the 1950's 'June Cleaver' crap the schools are still using 50 years later. The awesome part is that I get to help him build his website. (He he he!) I'll probably also end up helping him with the research into the requirements so that his work can be taught in all 50 states, etc., since that's not exactly his forte, and I love that kind of thing. I think we'll probably see a lot more of each other, at least over the summer, since the husband and I can't really go into the woods to camp and fish and play (he's bear bait this year LOL!), and my brother won't be too far away. It's only two hours drive between us.
And my house is half clean! The kitchen, dining and living rooms got cleaned so I could have my brother over. I could have had him over anyway, but it was a good excuse. The bedsheets and bedding for the master bedroom are getting clean as I write this, and hopefully, in the next day or so, I'll be able to finish cleaning that room. Then I can move into the closet (which I need to finish reorganizing since I switched out the spring clothes for the summer ones), and my master bath. The goal is to do that much by the end of the week.
