(no subject)
So I am house-sitting starting today, and there is no internet (I am posting from my phone, but I will get myself to a cafe tomorrow to leech internets) BUT to entertain myself while here I brought my oofuri dvds along with a disc binder full of dvd type things. In going through it, I discovered that I still have some old hong kong badsub dvds of Hikaru no Go. It turns out the ones I have with me are my favorite arc, starting from Mitani's introduction.
Oh, show, you are ridiculous and I had forgotten how enjoyable you were. Mitani! Kishimoto! Hikaru! Kagaaaaaaaaa! Oh, the nostalgia.
I am going to rewatch Oofuri after this batch of episodes, but lol, so ridiculous. Hikago holds a special place in my heart because it was my gateway to sports animanga. This is even more hilarious because Go: Not A Sport.
To think, without watching Hikago I might never have given Oofuri a try! And I certainly couldn't have watched AKAGI, orz.
And now sports comics are probably the genre I consume the most. Amazing.
I should really make a list one of these days, of the animanga I have loved. Sorting them by genre or subgenre could be seriously fun/hilarious/awesome.
