That was intense ... and sad, seeking comfort in each other having no one else left.It would be strange to see Peter broken, he was always the one trying to fight the good fight, stop the bomb ... that would just break my heart.

Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciated it. I agree that it would be strange and out of place to see Peter broken, because he's always the hopeful one pushing forward, but I think that losing Nathan would cause him to lose himself for a while. I'm glad the intensity and the pain came across well. :)

This was painfully realistic, I can imagine Peter couldn't live with himself if Nathan dies, wandering around without purpose or hope.
I love that he came to Claire, maybe she can help him mend and we can see a glimpse of the man he used to be a year ago.
Is this a one shot or just the beginning? This could be the start of a great story.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. I'm glad you thought it was "painfully realistic" because that means I succeeded in what I was trying to do :)

It was intended to just be a oneshot, but I'm flattered that you think it could be the start of a great story. It was always my assumption that Claire would help Peter heal (and he, in turn, would help her) after the end of the story, but now you've got me entertaining the idea of actually writing it down as a sequel. We'll have to see, because I have other ideas that want to be written first, but thanks a lot for letting me know what you thought!
