Illinois was democratic in a sea of republicans.
However, I am not moving to Canada. I am not going to hate Ohio for voting mostly for Bush. Nor am I going to blame Florida. However, I will applaud California for getting Kerry 55 electoral votes and Washington DC for voting 90% democratic.
1) Sometimes, things just suck, and this is one of those times. Now is just the time to move on and see if Bush can screw up the country even more than he has. Besides, it's not like Kerry was Jesus. The only two things I liked about Kerry was that he was not Bush and he wasn't going to ban Gay Marriage. If Bush does ban it, my generation will find a way to un-ban it. I only know a few people who have problems with Gay Marriage. And quite frankly, I think they should open their eyes.
2) Seriously. People should open up their eyes. I'm tired of hearing that gay marriage goes against the Bible. That's what we call separation of church and state. Besides, it's not like some of the homosexuals in the world even have a choice. Scientifically, it has been proven that a male has been born with a femal brain. So all those anti-gay marriage people can just shut up. Put yourself in the situation where you can't marry the person you want to. Equal rights for every single person on this planet. No one is excluded from having the same rights. Anyone who doesn't believe that should be shipped off the Pluto. Right now.
