Notes: I don't really like this that much... It's only my second piece of fan fiction, so con-crit is very welcome... as are nice comments ^-^
Billie heads back to his bus as soon as the show is over. It's not that he wouldn't like to spend more time with the rest of the band, because he would, it's just lately everything seems so monotonous.
It feels like he does the same thing every day. He used to have fun, but now he's just going through the motions. The music's the same, but now it lacks feeling, and he's fed up of it.
Mike is always the first to notice when something's wrong with Billie Joe, knowing him for over two decades gives him a slight advantage over everyone else, so Billie's not surprised when Mike is only thirty seconds later than him in getting to the bus.
In fact, Billie isn't even that shocked when Mike kisses him, he just kisses back, because hey, why not? It's something new, which is what Billie Joe needs right now.
But it's not until the next morning, when he wakes up next to Mike, both of them naked, that Billie's life doesn't feel so monotonous any more.
