Title: Hurricane
Rating: G
Genre: General/Angst
Summary: An extended metaphor written about my mother for a Creative Writing course that my school is running. Being considered for publication in the end-of-year school magazine.

My mother is a hurricane, whirling through life with unstoppable force, taking everyone along with her for the ride. Time swirls around her with all it's stress and excitement and pleasure and pain, but inside there is a steady calm -- the eye of the storm. There, though you can't always see it through the rush of her existence. There, always ready to take you in its embrace and protect you from the raging world outside, whether you see through your foolish pride to recognise it or not.
