My thoughts on The Office UK

I finished watching The Office UK yesterday, and I'm now a confused Office fan. I started on the US version, and I know it really well, but the 2nd season of the UK version is just so god damned funny. I almost can't compare the 2 shows as the same thing because of how different they end up being. For instance, trying to compare Dwight and Gareth is kind of ridiculous because while they share the same job title they are 2 completely different characters. Tim and Jim are pretty much exactly the same, however, so I can't put one above the other. The comparison between David Brent and Michael Scott is also difficult. I love how completely oblivious both of them are, but each has his own little quirks that are just as funny as the other. There is one place where the US version pulls ahead for me though, and that's in the fact that you are given the opportunity to know everybody at Dunder Mifflin much better than Wernham Hogg. I could only tell you a couple of the UK's side characters names, while I can confidently tell you each member of the staff for the US, and my favorite parts about all of them.

I might get threats for saying this knowing that several of my friends saw the UK version first, but in my opinion the US version takes the brilliant platform of it's predecessor and improved upon it in strides. Ours had the opportunity to really pan out further, while theirs was over after 12 episodes and a couple of Christmas specials.

So there's my review, even though nobody asked me for it. I don't care, you didn't have to read it if you didn't want to.
