As a disclaimer for the boss, the reason I couldn't find the tool is PROBABLY because our entire desk and office area behind it was flooded a week or two ago when a valve in our sprinkler system broke, and everything was torn out and thrown in a spare room. IT'S PROBABLY IN THERE, it doesn't even look like something important, like a bent up piece of metal, which coincidentally is why I got the idea to try a wire hanger. It still took like three tries and was a miracle it worked at all. Edit: Update on dude, they just walked in, it was psych meds he overdosed on and he's still a bit out of it (wobbly) but okay.
