Those who know his secret assume he hates his time in the dazzling glare, but instead he almost welcomes it. All the light merely feeds the shadow in his heart, gives it definition. He lets it whet the darkness inside to a razor's keenness, the knife's edge between shadow and light that he walks every night.
With this sharpened blade he will cleave Gotham to its heart.
