Fandom: X-Men
Character/Pairing: Bobby/Hank
Rating: PG-13
Challenge: Challenges #1-10

Word Count: 548 I know it's a bit long, but just a tad, and I figured that, with as many challenges as I'm using, a little extra length could be overlooked. :-) I hope that's okay. I've been a good boy with all the others!

I've never been good with shots. I hate needles and have feared doctors since I was a little kid and first scraped my knee. As it turns out, my cautiousness with doctors and hospitals is actually a good thing. Most doctors, after all, would prefer to lock all of us mutants into a giant cage and experiment on us, never once helping us or our kind, but that's the way it is with most humans, I guess. No matter how much we fight for them, no matter what, or who, we sacrifice to save their lives, they still fear us.

I won't try that argument today, though, not with you or with Charles. Trying to talk sense into either one of you today seems like a very bad, not to mention impossible, idea. I mean, come on. Why do I even need a flu shot? I'm the Iceman. I control cold, and it's not like I'm going to make myself sick! But I've been arguing with you people for over a week, and now Charles has put his foot down and sent me on my way to you.

Usually, I'd be grinning by now. Getting told to forget about my homework and go to your laboratory typically means a night full of fun, twinkies, and sex hot enough to melt even my ice, but I know what Charles is thinking and I know you're waiting on me. He thinks our bond is such that I won't hurt when you shoot me with that sharp needle, but he's wrong. I know he's wrong, and there's got to be some way to talk you out of this nonsense. There's gotta be a way, but I don't know what it is. I've tried every trick I know, and my book of pranks is finally running out.

I'd rather be anywhere else as I push through the big, double doors and finally enter your lab. I'd rather be dancing with you, playing on the beach, fighting Magneto, or even by myself. I don't want that damn needle! Yet, it isn't the needle that you approach me with as your furry, blue fingers slide around my waist and grasp me. I gasp in surprise as you pull me firmly up against you, and then before I can say a word, or let you know why I'm really here, you're kissing me.

I love it when you exert your dominance. As always, I quickly melt in your arms as your tongue slides into my mouth and plunges down my throat. Your fingers splay across my lower back, raising my shirt; your fur rubs against my skin. Every thought of melting ice and needles have fled my mind. I can't think now. All I can do is breathe and kiss you back as your sweet lips ravish mine with a wild ferocity that does your codename proud.

Then, suddenly, you're pulling away, and I spot the empty needle in your hand. Your eyes meet mine. I grin though shaking my head. "Damn." I never felt a thing but your love, and I can't be angry, either, because as soon as you put that needle down, you go right back to where you belong, kissing me tenderly and savagely and making me yours all over again.
