They don't think him a crazy scientist, for he's proven time and time again that everything he says does come to be.
Their love for one another is too great to be separated on that new world called Earth.
Even Baby Kal-El will be there with them.
They will take good care of him.
"What if Earth is too great a place and it takes years to find eachother, Jan?" Kara asks him while they are in his bedroom.
He's been reading up on this thing called binding spells.
He's pretty confident it will work, but it requires bloodletting with a Kryptonian knife.
"I know of a way we can find eachother again, Kara, my love." he tells her as his answer.
She snuggles closer and kisses him.
"Tell me, show me."
He opens his drawer and produces the Kryptonian knife.
"If we carve our world's symbol of love three times on our bodies and let our blood mix together, we will be able to be together on Earth." her boyfriend tells her.
She swallows.
"I'm scared."
"So am I, Kara."
They pull their bodies up from under the covers, already having been as naked as the day they had been born but not having done anything passionate... yet.
"Do it." Kara says as she looks at him.
He hovers over her naked skin with the blade and sinks it into her shoulder, then into her other shoulder and finally on her stomach just above her bellybutton.
She cries out from the impact and during the carvings of their Kryptonian symbol for love.
Jan-Es hands her the knife as he lies down on his bed.
"Hurry." he says as he can blood drip down from the wounds on her flesh.
She carves the symbols onto his body, in exactly the same places.
Her boyfriend just grits his teeth but doesn't cry out.
She returns the Kryptonian knife on his nightstand and lies on top of him, her blood mixing with his, and in seconds the huge carvings on their bodies are slowly closing the wounds.
"What do we do now?" she asks him.
"Now we do this." her boyfriend replies as he palms her breasts in his hands while his mouth touches hers.
It's the beginning of their last time having sex on their homeworld.
Up until that familiar maximum point of climax.
"I love you, Jan-Es."
"I love you too, Kara."

Somehow Jor-El has thought to make another ship for Kara's boyfriend and together they depart for Planet Earth with another spaceship carrying the young Kal-El.
One lands in a farm in Smallville, one gets stuck in suspended animation and another right into the courtyard of the Luthor Mansion... where he will be kept all this time until Tess Mercer frees him from Lex Luthor's so extremely-well hidden captivity to act as the leader of the Injustice League...
It takes a heck of a long time for the two to be reunited, but when they do, they still remember.
